In the role of Field Engineer you will be the face of our company in the field, directly engaging with customers while being responsible for successful commissioning, start-up and application of our automatic and robotic equipment in the field. We are looking for an international Field Service Engineer based in the US (near one of the main hubs).

This position requires international traveling to clients continuously. This means that sometimes you are away from home multiple weeks in a row. It is therefore important that you have experience with what job required traveling entails or that you are interested in traveling internationally.

In this position you will be reporting to the Service & Support Manager, based in the Netherlands.

New employees will be trained in our production facility in The Netherlands. You will be expected to come over for training purposes for a period of 8 to maximum 12 weeks. Airline ticket, housing, salary and expenses will be covered during this period.

Job Description

  • As a Field Service Engineer you will travel throughout the world, but mainly focused on the US. You are expected to:
  • Install new equipment.
  • Perform maintenance on existing equipment.
  • Perform upgrades on existing equipment.
  • Be a technical support person to our sales team.
  • Give constructive feedback to our engineering department and assembly team.
  • Be in constant communication with our Service & Support Manager.

To be considered for this opportunity, we need you to:

  • Live in the US.
  • Have completed a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical study (preference is mechanical engineering)
  • Have affinity with technical equipment, development and automation.
  • Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar position as a field engineer or service engineer;
  • Have a willingness to travel full-time, both national and international travels;
  • Have good communication skills in English (both written and verbal);
  • Be creative, result driven with a hands-on mentality;
  • Be flexible in your working hours;
  • Be able to work independent but also able to work well in a team;
