What the RoboCELL Automates

RoboCELL automates the two most labor-intensive steps before plate mounting sleeve handling and tape application. When combined with the FAMM 3.0, it becomes a connected workflow where sleeve taping and plate mounting run in parallel.

RoboSLEEVE - Robotic Sleeve Handling

RoboSLEEVE automates sleeve loading and unloading for the FAMM 3.0. It transfers sleeves to and from the mounting machine, reducing manual handling and allowing the operator to focus on other tasks.

RoboTAPE - Fully Automated Tape Application

RoboCELL applies tape automatically using spiral taping technology. This creates a controlled tape pattern with a sub-0.5 mm gap between tape layers, without overlap and without large tape margins next to the plates

FAMM 3.0 - Fully Automatic Plate Mounting

When RoboCELL is combined with the FAMM 3.0, taping and mounting can run as a parallel process. While one sleeve is being mounted, the next sleeve is already being taped.

Proven Automation for High-Volume Flexo Prepress

RoboCELL is built for flexo operations that need consistent sleeve preparation, lower manual workload, and a more continuous production flow. By combining robotic handling with automated taping, it helps reduce waste, improve repeatability, and remove manual bottlenecks from the prepress department.

Robotic Tape Application

The RoboTAPE is a game-changer patented solution for applying tape onto sleeves fully automatically and without any tape waste due to the spiral taping. The manual taping is eliminated, along with any related taping mistakes that cause press downtime.

Robotic Sleeve Handling

The RoboSLEEVE is a robotic sleeve handling system. The RoboSLEEVE picks-up the first taped sleeve from the Tech Cart and then, within seconds it loads it on the mandrel of the mounting machine. When the plate mounting process is over, the RoboSLEEVE unloads the mounted sleeve and places it back on the Tech Cart.

Fully Automatic Mounting

The FAMM fully automatically positionns the plates with an accuracy of 2 microns. The plates are mounted in 29 seconds including a quality report.

Tech Cart

The Tech Cart contains all the sleeves required for the job. After taping and mounting the sleeves, the robot puts back the mounted sleeve on the cart.

HMI Console

The HMI Console is used to set up jobs and start the loading and mounting process. XML files can be loaded into the system for a quick start-up.

Gripper Tool Station

The robot changes its gripper tool so that it can handle sleeves and bridges of different inner diameters.

Options

Additional Taping Tool

Additional taping tools can be added in the cell in a dedicated tool station area where the Robot can automatically change its tool and load one with a different density tape.

Additional Tech Carts

More Tech Carts can be added in the RoboCELL for taping and mounting sleeves for more than one job. Each Tech Cart is customized to the different inner diameters and repeats of the sleeves.

This block is filled dynamically. If you want to edit the contents you have to go to the backend.
