Patented Overlay System
Once the first plate is on the right position, a snapshot can be taken and used semi-transparently for the next plates.
One Size Fits all Cylinder
The software automatically calculates any distortion which is then digitally compensated. This one mounting drum is thus suitable for all presses.
Motorized HD Cameras
Ultra high definition cameras moving to the exact position of the mounting marks.
Proofing Cylinder
After mounting the proofing cylinder is automatically brought to the correct position for pulling a proof.
Laser Pointers
Indicators of where the mounting marks are located for placing easily the plates.
Quality report
The mounting marks are checked and a PDF is automatically created with the measurements of the Image Recognition.
Options
Mylar Automatic Drawing Pen
This pen is used to draw automatically the outline of the corrugated printed package on the mylar where the plate is going to be mounted. The operator mounts the first plate and conducts proofing of the mounting marks. After this, using the drawn lines of the automatic pen as a reference, the operator mounts the next plates at the correct position, using mirror mounting.
Barcode Scanner
A barcode scanner can be optionally added to the SAMM Postprint, Optimount, Flatmount or SAMM Preprint for automatic loading of the jobs. The jobs are then usually made offline in prepress to optimize the machine Operation Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Proof Paper Automatic Drawing Pen
The proof paper pen draws automatically the outline of the printed package on the proofing paper. After proofing the mounting marks of the corrugated plates, the operator will be able to see whether the plate is mounted accurately and if it will be printed at the desired position on the package.
Esko/Hybrid Software
Both Esko and Hybrid offers software for patching corrugated plates. The intelligent system offers an efficient layout of plate patches for plate making including the registration marks. All the information about the plates and their coordinates can be transferred directly to the corrugated mounting machine.
Pressure Roller
A pressure roller can be added on the Optimount to provide bubble-free mounting. The pressure roller assists in mounting the plates without damaging them.
Tape Holder
Taping the mylar is a necessary step before starting mounting/proofing. The tape holders provide easy access to tape and save time and effort from cutting pieces of tape every time before proofing.
Mylar Centering Pin
This is a centering pin that makes the alignment of the carrier sheet/mylar very easy and consistent to the zero position of the machine.
