Our products and services need to be delivered on time, at the highest quality, with the least amount of process waste as possible.
Our portfolio ranges across many different machines needing thousands of different parts while our aim is to standardize as much as possible. To supply parts to our production floor to build the machines we sell, we have set up an electronic Kanban system which can also be optimized.
The Supply Chain Manager at AV Flexologic B.V. will be responsible for optimizing and managing the company’s supply chain and logistics strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity, with a strong emphasis on Lean principles and Kanban methodologies. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining excellent relationships with vendors and distributors.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement Lean supply chain strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Utilize Kanban systems to forecast demand and plan supply, ensuring seamless production and delivery.
Procurement:
- Source and manage suppliers to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies using Lean problem-solving techniques.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels, leveraging Kanban systems.
- Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to align inventory levels with production schedules and customer demand.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Manage logistics, warehousing, and transportation activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Optimize logistics operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and monitor their performance.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in supply chain processes and implement Lean solutions.
- Utilize Lean management and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Kanban, to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Risk Management:
- Develop and implement risk management programs to ensure business continuity.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence through Lean practices.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., APICS, CIPS) is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with Lean and Kanban methodologies is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, WMS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Leadership Skills:
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve objectives.
Performance Metrics:
- Reduction in supply chain costs.
