The Aqualine is specially developed for processing large water washable flexo polymer plates, Cosmolight, in wash out water with soap solutions.
The Aqualine unit operates according to the 'flat washout' principle, which results into a perfect photopolymer printing form. Due to maximum brush contact the wash out results are fast and perfect. The closed washout system is automatically opened with the plate and is moving over a sensor at the input. The length of the plate is measured and amongst other things used for washing, rinsing, and drying the plate. The plate is clamped and guided through the wash out section which is divided into 3 parts:
1. Carbon Removal: a rotary brush removes the black carbon of the digital plates. The water circulates from the carbon-tank and after a set time it is partly pumped into the waste-tank where it is cleaned by a filter system.
2. Wash out: the plates are washed by means of flat brushes and a high flow of water. A zig-zag movement of the brushes in combination with an oscillating movement ensure that even the plates with the finest screens are washed out perfect. The water is circulated from the process-tank and filtered continuously from rough particles. After a set time water is pumped into the waste tank. The water in the waste tank is continuously filtered by an advanced micro filter which separates the fine polymer residues from the water. This microfilter is equipped with a fresh water back flush system to ensure continuous correct working. The water is re-used to ensure continuous plate making with a minimum usage of water and soap.
3. Clean and dry: a set of 4 rotating brushes on the top side and 2 at the bottom ensure the removal of residues partly fed by fresh water. The plates are ejected drip free on a table at the other end of the machine.
The unique Aqualine can continuously process plates with faster and the best results.

The PLC is operated by digital colour toch screen. The settings can be memorized.
The microprocessor controls also the circulation integrated process tank. The plate is washed out in a mixture of water and 1% soap at a temperature of approximately 40 °C.
