The Sleeve Service Station 850 for mounting flexo printing plates onto sleeves is specifically designed for the narrow web flexible packaging industry and for serving variable offset presses. Sleeves can be changed in the fastest and easiest way. The Sleeve Service Station is also suitable for the mounting of offset printing plates onto special sleeves with a gap and for mounting offset rubber blankets onto sleeves.
The Sleeve Service Station is equipped with a bracket on the righthand side that can be opened by hand. Sleeves can be exchanged with the help of compressed air. Bearing on both sides ensure accurate mounting.
Perpendicular above the shaft, two high magnification digital cameras with optical lenses are mounted on precision guides. The camera beam is precisely ground to ensure the best calibration for high quality results. The cameras can be positioned sideways by hand.
The images of the cameras are displayed on a flatscreen monitor. The operator has a choice of hairlines, e.g. single crosses, double movable lines, sizable circles, and combinations. Snapshots of the mounting position can be taken and displayed faded on the monitor to mount image on image.
The rotation of the air cylinder is motorized and operated by a foot pedal. A mounting table supports the plate during the mounting process, so that the operator can mount the plate in the correct position. A pressure roller ensures that the printing plate is mounted with equal pressure and withour air inclusions.
By leaving the cameras in position, a next colour can be mounted in exact the same position.
