Mount-O-Matic Economy

The Mount-O-Matic 1000 Economy MKII is a very simple to operate machine with universal applications, specifically designed for customers that require no proof.

The print cylinder to be mounted is put into the machine on adjustable supports. Perpendicular above the cylinder shaft, two 18 times enlarging cameras (optional enlargement up to 100 times is available)are mounted on precision guides which can be moved by hand either from left to right or right to left. The camera supports are each equipped with two extremely precise digital positioning read-outs and a dividing disk is provided for the 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 divisions around. Other divisions are also possible.

By moving the left camera, for example to the middle of the print cylinder and by putting the digital read-out to zero, will give you the possibility to fix two positions. Similarly, with the right camera two positions can be fixed. Consequently, in a standard way, four photopolymer printing plates can be positioned across the cylinder.

When the left cross mark or the micro dot on the photopolymer plate falls over the cross mark of the left monitor, the right camera is moved so that the right cross mark falls over the cross mark of the right monitor, the plate has been mounted perfectly in register. The position sets are re-used to mount the 2nd, 3rd, etc. colour.
